We supported the bunch o balloons kickstarter campaign because I believe it revolutionizes water balloons.  We got our reward in the mail and had to give it a try even though it isn’t water balloon weather yet.  See the results.  It took two tries to get it right but it was still very cool!

Playing Sardines (Day 2)

One of our favorite games to play at home is Sardines.  It is like hide n’ seek but only one person hides and as people find them they have to hide with them. In many cases you end up getting packed into a hiding place like sardines! Thus the name. It didn’t take many […]

The Nerdiest Game Ever: Ingress

Ingress is the nerdiest game I’ve ever played.  If you see a nerdy guy walking all over the park looking at his phone he is probably attacking a portal.  The game uses your GPS location to locate portals that teams compete to control.  There is a lot more to it then that but Jackson loves […]

Pley LEGO Set Rentals

A co-worker told me about a service that was like Netflix for LEGOs. You pay a monthly fee and can rent as many sets as you want but you can only have one at a time.  This appealed to me for a couple reasons.

Homemade Lava Lamp

Our friend Lane from LaneVids taught us how to make a lava lamp and it was, surprisingly, super easy. All you need is a jar, oil, water, food coloring and alka-seltzer. For quickest results mix water and food coloring first then fill most of the jar with oil. It can be a little more […]

Family Hula Hoop Contest

Last night we were sitting around as the kids played with hoola hoops and I challenged Mommy Stubz to see if she could do it longer than our son.  I had no idea he could hoola hoop so well.  Is there a professional hoola hooping league he can start training for? I kid!

We learned […]
